More info: Make sure that CPUs running critical tasks are not disturbed by any source of "noise" such as unbound workqueues, timers, kthreads... Unbound jobs get offloaded to housekeeping CPUs. This is driven by the "isolcpus=" boot parameter. Say Y if unsure.
